Bruins select D-Man, forward and LW in last three rounds of the draft

The Bruins used the 154th overall pick in the 2019 NHL Draft on Russian defenseman Roman Bychkov Saturday. The 5-11, 170-pound 18-year-old was the Bruins' third selection of the draft, preceded by first round pick John Beecher and Quinn Olsen in the third round

Bychkov player in 40 games for Loko Yaroslavl in 2018-19, totaling two goals and 13 assists with a plus-17 plus-minus. 

With their next pick, coming at No. 185 overall, the Bruins selected 18-year-old forward Matias Mantykivi from Finland. In 34 games with the SaiPa under-20 team, Mantykivi scored 12 goals and tallied 24 assists. 

With their last pick in the 2019  draft, the Bruins took left-winger Jake Schmaltz 192nd overall. Schmaltz last played for the Chicago Steel, scoring five goals (13 assists) in 60 USHL games. Schmaltz committed to the University of North Dakota in May.
