While Bruins fans wait for Boston to make a big splash in free agency, general manager Don Sweeney threw a few pebbles into the water Wednesday.
The Bruins have re-signed defenseman Jakub Zboril to a two-year contract with a $725,000 annual cap hit and signed free-agent forward Greg McKegg and goaltender Callum Booth to one-year, two-way contracts each worth $700,000, the team announced.
The 23-year-old Zboril had been on loan to Brno Kometa in the Czech Extraliga but now will return to the club that took him 13th overall in the 2015 NHL Draft.

Bean: Bruins' offseason gets an "F" so far
Zboril showed promise with the Providence Bruins last season with three goals, 16 assists and a plus-20 rating in 58 games. He's appeared in just two games at the NHL level, but could see more action this season if Zdeno Chara departs in free agency or reduces his ice time.
McKegg has bounced between six NHL teams since 2010. He appeared in a career-high 53 games for the New York Rangers last season but tallied just nine points (five goals, four assists) and is more of a depth add who could spend time in Providence.
The same goes for Booth, a 2015 draft pick of the Carolina Hurricanes who has yet to appear in an NHL game and split time between the AHL and EHCL last season.
