Bruins trade targets: Updated list after Ryan Dzingel trade to Blue Jackets

Share

The Boston Bruins already made on trade to acquire Minnesota Wild center Charlie Coyle, and they are rumored to be pursuing other players ahead of Monday's NHL trade deadline.

One of those players was Ryan Dzingel, but the Ottawa Senators forward is now off the board after he was traded to the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday night. Boston reportedly was among the potential suitors for Dzingel, but now B's general manager Don Sweeney must look elsewhere for additional scoring depth.

The Bruins, per a report, also are "serious suitors" for Senators winger Mark Stone, who is eligible to be an unrestricted free agent this summer. If the Senators don't extend his contract soon, a trade seems likely.

Boston needs another top-six forward to bolster its chances for a Stanley Cup run -- one that likely would include a tough second-round playoff series against the high-powered Tampa Bay Lightning.

Here's an updated list of the best trade targets for the Bruins to pursue before Monday afternoon's deadline.

Mark Stone, RW, Ottawa Senators
Artemi Panarin, LW, Columbus Blue Jackets
Wayne Simmonds, RW, Philadelphia Flyers
Micheal Ferland, LW, Carolina Hurricanes
Marcus Johansson, LW, New Jersey Devils
