FINAL SCORE: Philadelphia Flyers 4, Boston Bruins 1
IN BRIEF: The Flyers used a dominant second period to build a lead over the Bruins and never looked back. Philly went into the second intermission with a 3-1 lead and cruised to a 4-1 win in these teams' first NHL round robin game inside the Toronto bubble Sunday afternoon.
Four different players scored for a Flyers team that ranked seventh in goals scored during the regular season. The Bruins tallied 35 shots on goal, but couldn't generate enough quality scoring chances. Boston's top line of Brad Marchand, Patrice Bergeron and the league's co-leader in goals scored, David Pastrnak, were all held without a goal or an assist. The B's also failed on each of their three power-play chances.
Bruins goalie Jaroslav Halak started in place of Tuukka Rask (illness), and he allowed four goals on 29 shots against. Flyers goalie Carter Hart made 34 saves on 35 shots.

HIGHLIGHTS
There weren't a ton of highlight-worthy plays in the first period, but this save from Halak was quite impressive and kept the game scoreless.
The Flyers started out strong in the second period and were rewarded with the game's first goal. Travis Sanheim made a nice pass to Michael Raffl, who beat Halak with a nifty backhand shot.
Nate Thompson doubled Philly's lead to 2-0 with a second-period goal of his own. Halak appeared to be screened as Thompson beat him high stick side.
The Bruins finally got on the board late in the second period when Chris Wagner beat Hart. The puck bounced off Flyers defenseman Robert Hagg and trickled over the goal line -- a fortunate bounce for Boston that it badly needed.
The Flyers responded immediately and scored just eight seconds after Wagner's tally. Philippe Myers beat Halak with a fantastic shot to give Philly a 3-1 lead.
Credit the Flyers for not relenting in the third period with a two-goal lead. Scott Laughton increased Philadelphia's advantage to 4-1 with a goal 4:07 into the final frame.
