The Boston Bruins will take part in their fourth outdoor regular season game in team history when they play the Philadelphia Flyers at Lake Tahoe on Sunday night.
A magnificent stage has been set with a newly built rink close to the 18th green of the Edgewood Tahoe Resort golf course. In the background is the beautiful Lake Tahoe and the nearby mountains.
The Bruins are no strangers to outdoor games. They have played in three Winter Classic games -- a 2-1 overtime win against the Flyers at Fenway Park in 2010, a 5-1 loss to the Montreal Canadiens at Gillette Stadium in 2016 and a 4-3 win over the Chicago Blackhawks at Notre Dame Stadium in 2019.

Highlights from Bruins' three Winter Classic games
This will be an important game for both teams.
The Bruins will try to maintain their perfect record versus the Flyers this season. Boston is 4-0-0 against Philly with 16 goals scored and nine allowed. The B's also enter this matchup with a three-point lead over the Flyers, New York Islanders and Washington Capitals for first place in the East division.
Boston will be without one of its top offensive players, too. Second-line center David Krejci did not travel with the team to Lake Tahoe. Top prospect Jack Studnicka, who was recalled from the AHL's Providence Bruins on Friday, is expected to enter the lineup.
