The Boston Bruins are aiming for a 2-0 series lead when they host the Carolina Hurricanes for Game 2 of the Eastern Conference final Sunday afternoon at TD Garden.
The B's were trailing in the third period of Game 1 before a flurry of power-play goals secured a comfortable 5-2 series-opening victory. Boston actually scored four third-period goals in one of its best 20-minute performances of the postseason.
The Bruins last took a 2-0 series lead in their first-round matchup with the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2018. The Game 1 loss snapped the Hurricanes' six-game win streak that started in their first-round upset over the defending champion Washington Capitals. The 'Canes do not have home ice advantage in this series and need at least one win in Boston. They lost the first two games in Washington in Round 1 and still managed to win the series, but that would be more difficult to pull off against a Bruins team currently playing so well at both ends of the ice -- not to mention Tuukka Rask has been sensational in Boston's net.
Here's how and when to watch Bruins vs. Hurricanes Game 2 online. Be sure to also watch "Postgame Live" with Michael Felger and Tony Amonte on NBC Sports Boston after the game.
