Bruins vs. Leafs Game 7: Looking back at Boston's Game 7 history

Share

The Boston Bruins and Toronto Maple Leafs will conclude their first round 2019 Stanley Cup playoff series with a Game 7 at TD Garden on Tuesday night. It's a fitting way to end what's been an exciting series between two evenly matched teams.

The Leafs could have ended the series on Easter Sunday but the Bruins showed impressive resiliency to win 4-2 and force a Game 7. Tuesday's decisive matchup will be the eighth Game 7 for Boston since the start of the 2011 playoffs. The Leafs, meanwhile, haven't won a playoff series since 2004 and haven't won a Game 7 on the road since 1993.

This Game 7 between the Bruins and Leafs will be the third such contest involving these teams of the decade. Boston beat Toronto in Game 7 of Round 1 in 2013 and 2018.
