Cam Neely (jokingly) approves of Brad Marchand mocking Justin Williams

Cam Neely will be the first to criticize Brad Marchand if he crosses the line.

But the Boston Bruins president also doesn't mind the winger having a little fun at his opponents' expense.

Marchand's latest troll job came in Sunday's Game 2 rout of the Hurricanes, when he mocked the captain's "C" on Justin Williams' jersey as the Carolina winger took a costly second-period penalty.

Glenn Gleason of NBC Sports Boston's "The Camera Guys" had a little fun with Neely about the exchange Monday, noting how "nice" it was of Marchand to show Williams where the penalty box was.

"That's what people don't understand about Brad: He's a kind human being," Neely responded with a smile.

Between helping opponents find their way on the ice and breaking up post-whistle scrums, Marchand really has come around this postseason.

Neely, who was at Boston's Logan Airport to depart for Carolina on the Bruins' new "Bear Force One" airplane, also raved about the complete team effort the B's have displayed while taking Games 1 and 2 from the Hurricanes.

"We've had this 'next man up' mentality all year," Neely said. "It shows the character and the leadership we have in this group."

The Bruins will need that character Tuesday night in Raleigh, N.C., where the 'Canes have yet to lose during the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
