Krejci among two former Bruins on Czech Republic's 2022 Olympic roster

Active NHL players won't be participating in the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing next month, but several former NHLers will be, including a couple who Boston Bruins fans know well.

Former Bruins centers David Krejci and Vladimir Sobotka have been selected to the Czech Republic's men's ice hockey roster for the Olympics.

Here's the full Czech Republic roster:

Krejci left the Bruins as a free agent following the 2020-21 season to return home and finish his career in the Czech Republic. He was a second-round pick of the B's in 2004 and played 15 seasons in Boston from 2006-07 through 2020-21. Krejci played a pivotal role in the Bruins winning the Stanley Cup in 2011 when he led the playoffs in scoring.

Why NHL's Olympic decision is disappointing for Bergeron, Marchand

Sobotka played 134 games for the Bruins over three years from 2007-08 through 2009-10.

Bruins right winger David Pastrnak would've been the Czech Republic's best player at the Olympics if NHLers were allowed to compete. It's unfortunate we won't get to see Pastrnak reunite with Krejci on the Olympic stage.

Luckily for Bruins fans, they'll at least get to watch a couple of Boston's former players try to win the gold medal in Beijing.
