David Krejci hit impressive playoff scoring milestone in Bruins' Game 3 win

Boston Bruins center David Krejci doesn't receive enough credit for the scoring production he provides in the Stanley Cup playoffs.

The veteran forward is one of the best playoff scorers in Bruins history, and he reached an impressive milestone in Boston's 2-1 win over the Carolina Hurricanes in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference final Tuesday night at PNC Arena.

Krejci earned an assist on Brad Marchand's game-winning goal in the second period, giving him 100 career postseason points. He's only the fifth Bruins player ever to hit that mark. Krejci nowis tied with B's legends Rick Middleton and Johnny Bucyk for the third-most points in Bruins playoff history.

Here's an updated look at the leaderboard. Patrice Bergeron is not far behind with 96 points.

1. Ray Bourque: 161 points, 180 games
2. Phil Esposito: 102 points, 71 games
3. Johnny Bucyk: 100 points, 109 games
4. Rick Middleton: 100 points, 111 games
5. David Krejci: 100 points, 124 games
6. Patrice Bergeron: 96 points, 128 games
7. Bobby Orr: 92 points, 74 games
8. Wayne Cashman: 88 points, 145 games
9. Cam Neely: 87 points, 86 games
10. Ken Hodge: 81 points, 86 games

Krejci led the Stanley Cup playoffs in scoring in 2011 and 2013. The B's reached the Stanley Cup Final both seasons and won a championship in 2011.

He's producing again for Boston with 13 points in 16 postseason games, and if the Bruins reach the Stanley Cup Final over the next week, it's hard to imagine Krejci not rising to the challenge with a title at stake.
