BRIGHTON, Mass. — It doesn’t look like David Krejci is going to play on Saturday night against the St. Louis Blues after being termed “doubtful” following Friday morning’s practice at Warrior Ice Arena. But it does look like Krejci’s return from an upper-body injury is imminent after missing the last three games following an early exit from a win over the Anaheim Ducks nearly two weeks ago.

Krejci practiced with the Bruins on Friday after skating on his own a couple of days, and he hasn’t been ruled out from Sunday’s road tilt with the Rangers at Madison Square Garden.

“He skated today, so I’d put him as doubtful for tomorrow. But at least [Krejci] is out on the ice skating with the team and that’s step one. Then it becomes, would he be ready to travel to New York [and play] in that quick of a turnaround, or maybe Tuesday. Nordstrom will be in.”

Krejci has missed a grand total of four games already this season with two different injuries, and hasn’t been able to get in a rhythm when he was in the lineup with just one points and six shots on net in the five games.

Fourth-line winger Joakim Nordstrom (upper body) is also set to return for the Bruins against St. Louis after getting dinged up in last week’s shootout loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning. Anders Bjork was called back up to the Bruins ahead of Friday’s practice on an emergency basis and is expected to play as well on Saturday night vs. the Blues after skating with Jake DeBrusk and Charlie Coyle at Friday’s practice session.

Otherwise, Tuukka Rask will make his first consecutive starts of the season when he faces the Blues on Saturday night while Jaroslav Halak will be getting the second end of the back-to-back with Sunday night’s road showdown with the Rangers.

Here are the projected Bruins line combos and D-pairings against the Blues based on Friday’s practice session:
