It’s fitting to have a tie to the past when returning to glory.

Over a 39-year cupless streak, the Bruins saw franchise great Ray Bourque win his Stanley Cup with Colorado. And legend Cam Neely ascend to the front office. But in 2011 it all comes together.

Between the hot goaltending of Tim Thomas, the youthful insurgence of Brad Marchand, and the stoic leadership of Zdeno Chara, the Bruins beat the Canucks to become champions once again. This youthful group has grown into a veteran core, and they look to return to glory again.
