New Bruins forward Marcus Johansson will make debut tonight against Sharks

After being traded to the Bruins on Monday from the New Jersey Devils, Marcus Johansson will not have to wait very long to make his debut.

He reportedly will play tonight against the San Jose Sharks, 24 hours after having been traded.

The 6'1" Swedish forward will skate on the right side of the Bruins' second line with David Krecji and Jake DeBrusk, head coach Bruce Cassidy announced on Tuesday.

Bruins GM Don Sweeney elected not to make a splash move ahead of the NHL trade deadline, instead acquiring Charlie Coyle in addition to Johansson.

The Bruins have been playing well as of late, winning nine of their last 11 games.

However, the Bruins likely need a boost to get over the hump that is the first place Tampa Bay Lightning, come the playoffs.

Facing the Sharks in Boston tonight will also be a good test for the Bruins, and Johansson. San Jose is in second place in the Pacific Division, behind the first place Calgary Flames.
