NHL Power Rankings: Slumping Bruins continue to struggle

Share

Just two weeks ago, the Bruins had won eight in a row and were cruising along with no signs of the dreaded Stanley Cup Final hangover.

But since then, it's been a different story. The B's have dropped six of seven, including losses to the Senators, Kings, and Blackhawks — teams with three of the bottom six point totals in the entire NHL.

Here's the good thing for the Bruins, however: they still own a 10-point lead in the Atlantic Division.

Contrast that to the Pacific Division, where 10 points separate the first-place Coyotes with the sixth-place Sharks. That parity out west will make it an interesting scramble for playoff positioning as the season develops.
