The Boston Bruins appear to be zeroed in on two frontrunners for their vacant head coaching position.
David Quinn will have an in-person interview with the team next week, per The Athletic's Fluto Shinzawa. According to the report, Quinn has "emerged as a favorite" to replace Bruce Cassidy.

Shinzawa adds that former Providence Bruins coach Jay Leach also is considered a frontrunner for the job, but has yet to interview.
Quinn, 55, was named head coach of the United States men's ice hockey team for the 2022 Winter Olympics. He previously spent three seasons (2018-20) as head coach of the New York Rangers, leading them to a 96-87-25 record and failing to win a playoff game during his tenure. He was fired in May 2021.
Quinn already has some experience coaching hockey in Boston. He served as head coach of Boston University's men's hockey team from 2013-18, finishing first in the conference twice and losing the national championship to Providence in 2015.
As the Bruins continue their search for his replacement, Cassidy already has found a new home. He was hired as the next head coach of the Las Vegas Golden Knights on Tuesday.
