NHL Rumors: Bruins sign Peter Cehlarik to one-year contract

Share

The Bruins signed forward Peter Cehlarik to a one-year, two-way contract worth $700,000.

The Bruins selected Cehlarik in the 2013 draft and has since appeared in 37 games for the Bruins. In 2018-19, he registered four goals and two assists over 20 games.

There were rumblings that Cehlarik missed his chance to make the Bruins roster full time and would soon be let go, but this contract could mean one last chance for the 23-year-old winger.

If he doesn't produce with the consistency the Bruins are hoping for, they can either trade him with relative ease or wait to let Cehlarik walk next summer thanks to how small the cap figure is.
