Before Saturday's contest vs. the Arizona Coyotes at TD Garden, the Boston Bruins honored Zdeno Chara for playing his 1,500th NHL game.

To begin the ceremony, the B's showed a video on the jumbotron which included several stars from around the league congratulating "Big Z" on the incredible milestone. Alex Ovechkin, Steven Stamkos, Jonathan Toews, and Shea Weber were among them.

Following the video tribute, Chara was joined on the ice by his family and received the news that his Bruins teammates chipped in for an all-expenses-paid vacation to a location of his choosing. The B's alternate captains gifted Chara a photo while Cam Neely gave the 42-year-old veteran a gold stick and a painting.

Chara's 1,500th career game came on Nov. 5 in Montreal, where he received a classy ovation from Canadiens fans.
