Patrice Bergeron named NHL First Star of the Week

Patrice Bergeron had a great start and now finish to his week.

On Monday, he was named the NHL "First Star of the Week", leading the league in points (four goals, five assists) to go along with a plus-five rating. In the Bruins home opener against Ottawa during the Columbus Day matinee, Bergeron recorded his fourth career hat trick. Saturday night, he led the team to an 8-2 win over Detroit dishing out 3 assists.

Bergeron is currently tied for third in the league in points with 11 through the team's first five games, leading the B's to a four-game win streak as they head out West to face Calgary (Wednesday at 9:30pm, NBCSN), Edmonton (Thursday at 9 p.m.), and Vancouver (Saturday at 10 p.m.).

Bergeron continues to climb the organizations all-time leaderboard in many categories. He is 5th in games player (968), sixth in goals (294), seventh in assists (451), and seventh in points (745).
