If the Boston Bruins are still looking for blue line help, they can eliminate one name from their wish list.
Defenseman MacKenzie Weegar signed a three-year contract with the Florida Panthers on Friday reportedly worth $3.25 million per year.
Weegar's agent said last month the 26-year-old's camp was "disappointed" in its contract negotiations with the Panthers, prompting speculation he could sign elsewhere.

The Bruins reportedly were among the teams to check in on Weegar shortly after losing top defenseman Torey Krug to free agency, but it appears talks didn't progress any further.
Boston has plenty of question marks on the blue line: While the team has re-signed Matt Grzelcyk, Kevan Miller and Jakub Zboril, captain Zdeno Chara still hasn't made a decision about returning to the B's in free agency.
Weegar, who tallied a career-high 18 goals for Florida last season, would have been a solid depth add for the Bruins at the right price.
