Bruins free agent Rick Nash might not have an NHL home next season.

The winger has informed teams he hasn't yet decided if he will play next season, according to TSN's Darren Dreger. Nash has generated some interest from teams ahead of Sunday's NHL free agent opener, but he's informed those teams he will not be participating in this year's signing period. Joe Resnick, Nash's agent, stated Thursday his client wouldn't be taking offers.

It's not clear if the Bruins were one of the teams interested in tendering an offer for the veteran forward, but it would seem unlikely given the youth vying for roster spots at the bottom of the lineup, and the B's interest in John Tavares. The B's did have brief contract talks with Nash at the end of the postseason, but general manager Don Sweeney held off any offers until knowing his plans for the future.

As of Tuesday, Nash had received interest from at least five teams, according to Dreger.

The former Blue Jackets great was acquired from the Rangers at last season's trade deadline for a package of players, including Ryan Spooner, and two draft choices, including a first-rounder in last week's draft. In 23 games with the Bruins, Nash tallied six goals.
