As expected, the Bruins will be without Zdeno Chara for a while.

The B's veteran defenseman will miss four to six weeks with a left knee injury, according to Fluto Shinzawa of The Athletic.

Chara suffered the injury during Wednesday night's game vs the Avalanche when he collided with Carl Soderberg. Now, the B's defensive corps will be without Chara, Charlie McAvoy, Kevan Miller, Urho Vaakanainen and Brandon Carlo.

To make matters even worse, Patrice Bergeron was banged up in Friday night's loss to the Stars. He did finish the game, which is a great sign, but it's still something to monitor moving forward as the Bruins' injuries continue to pile up.
