Reports: Bruins leading candidate to land Rick Nash

Don Sweeney has been wary of trading away his young talent at the deadline.

You really can't blame him for how well his team has been playing.

But it looks like a deal might now be brewing between New York and Boston.

Elliotte Friedman of Hockey Night in Canada just reported the Bruins are in on Rick Nash tonight and appear to be the leading contender to land him.

Darren Dreger of TSN confirmed that there are ongoing discussions between the two teams and they are currently working to make the cap work.

Pierre LeBrun was first to report the Bruins had put an offer on the table for Nash.

It's unclear what the Bruins would have to give up in order to get him, but we may find out soon.
