Riley Nash's shoulder injury started with huge hit from Bruins' Zdeno Chara

Columbus Blue Jackets forward Riley Nash picked up a shoulder injury in his team's second-round Stanley Cup playoff series against the Boston Bruins, and one of his former teammates is to blame.

Nash revealed to reporters during exit interviews Wednesday that he suffered a shoulder ailment as a result of a hit by former Bruins teammate Zdeno Chara.

Here's a replay of that hit from Game 2:

It's hardly a surprise a hit of that force from a player of Chara's size was enough to cause an injury.

Nash also took a huge hit from Bruins defenseman Charlie McAvoy in Game 3.

The veteran forward tallied two assists in the series, but he didn't play in the last three games. Columbus failed to win a single game without him.

The Blue Jackets ultimately were eliminated by the Bruins in six games, but despite a tough end to Columbus' Stanley Cup playoff run, it still should be a fun offseason for Nash, who's getting married soon.
