The Boston Bruins and St. Louis Blues will play at least 60 minutes Wednesday night in Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final, but recent history shows the team that scores first is going to win.

The last lead change in a Game 7 of a Cup Final came in 1987, when the Philadelphia Flyers scored the opening goal against the Edmonton Oilers, only to give up the next three. There haven't even been any ties (outside of 0-0, of course) in Game 7s of a Cup Final since 1994.
The Boston Bruins scored first in 2011 when Patrice Bergeron beat Vancouver Canucks goaltender Roberto Luongo in the opening period of Game 7 on the road. The B's went on to win 4-0 for their sixth championship in team history.
The team to score first owns a 4-2 record in this Cup Final, including four consecutive victories.
