Notre Dame Stadium is an iconic college football venue, but it will be the center of the hockey world on New Year's Day.
The Boston Bruins and Chicago Blackhawks will battle in the 2019 Winter Classic at the famed stadium, and the B's on Sunday shared a few photos of how the ice looks in the buildup to the event.
It's safe to say this is going to be one of the prettiest and most aesthetically pleasing Winter Classic environments in the event's history.

This game will be the third time the Bruins have played in a Winter Classic. They hosted the Philadelphia Flyers at Fenway Park in 2010 and won 2-1 in overtime, and they lost to the Montreal Canadiens 5-1 at Gillette Stadium in 2016.
The Blackhawks are entering their fourth Winter Classic and third in the last five years. They are winless in this event.
