Celtics announce dates, times for two preseason games

The NBA released its 2020 preseason schedule on Friday, and the Boston Celtics will play two games before the regular season tips off.

The first time we'll see the 2020-21 Celtics in action will be Tuesday, Dec. 15 at 7:30 p.m. ET against the Philadelphia 76ers. The second preseason game will be at home vs. the Brooklyn Nets on Friday, Dec. 18 at 8:00 p.m.

Doc Rivers will be coaching the Sixers in the C's preseason opener after replacing Brett Brown this offseason. For the second game, Boston will face a Brooklyn team that has high expectations with both Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant in the fold.

Celtics training camp begins Tuesday, Dec. 1. The NBA regular season is set to get underway on Dec. 22, and the full first half of the 2020-21 schedule is expected to be released in the coming days.
