Aaron Nesmith put on a show for the Maine Celtics after being assigned to the NBA G League on Sunday.
The second-year guard dropped a team-high 21 points to lead Maine to a 117-89 victory over the Wisconsin Herd in its season opener. Nesmith shot 9-of-16 from the field (2-of-7 from 3) in his G League debut while adding nine rebounds and five assists.

Bruno Fernando also was assigned to the Maine Celtics on Sunday. The 23-year-old big man notched 15 points (6-8 FG), nine rebounds, and seven assists.
Maine's next game will take place Jan. 13 vs. the Delaware Blue Coats. Boston will take on the Indiana Pacers on Monday night at TD Garden.
Nesmith is averaging 3.1 points and 1.7 rebounds in 10.7 minutes through 28 games played with the NBA squad this season.
