The Boston Celtics lost a legend on Thursday night. Former Celtics guard John Havlicek passed away at the age of 79 after a battle with Parkinson's disease. There were plenty of tributes to Havlicek from former players, writers, and fans, and the Celtics have planned a tribute of their own.

On Saturday, the Celtics unveiled a patch that they will wear on their uniforms to honor the legendary "Hondo." Here's a look at the patch, via the Celtics' Twitter.

This really is a great gesture to honor the great No. 17.

We'll first see these patches in action when the Celtics vs. Milwaukee Bucks series gets underway on Sunday. The game will start at 1:00 p.m.
