Two of the Eastern Conference's best teams will square off Wednesday night when the Boston Celtics host the Miami Heat at TD Garden.

The Heat are in second place in the East standings with a 15-5 record, but they have sturggled a bit on the road with a 7-5 mark away from home. The Celtics are one of three teams (along with the Heat and Philadelphia 76ers) still undefeated at home.

Miami is a serious threat to hand Boston its first home loss. The Heat's revamped roster features a superstar forward in Jimmy Butler, two talented rookies in Tyler Herro and Kendrick Nunn, a rising defensive star in center Bam Adebayo, and several other quality players. Defending the 3-point line will be crucial for the Celtics because the Heat own the third-best shooting percentage in the league on shots from beyond the arc.

The Celtics will be without shooting guard Marcus Smart, who is battling an illness. Gordon Hayward also remains out as he recovers from a fractured hand. The C's enter Wednesday with the fourth-best record in the East, but they're just 4-4 over their last eight games.
