Nine days after the Celtics wrapped up a western road trip in Utah, the two teams will meet again at TD Garden in Boston Friday night.
That contest featured a scoring duel between the top two players from the 2017 NBA Draft: Donovan Mitchell and Jayson Tatum.
And even though Mitchell outscored Tatum 37-33 that night, it was the Celtics who got the last laugh, emerging with a 114-103 victory.

That game was part of Tatum's recent hot streak in which he has scored at least 32 points in five straight games, a stretch which puts him in elite company with a pair of Celtics Hall of Famers.
Tatum's performance has helped the Celtics make up for the recent absences in their starting lineup, with Kemba Walker, Gordon Hayward, and Jaylen Brown all missing time recently. Brown (hamstring) and Hayward (knee) have already been ruled out of the Utah game.
