Boston fans boo Celtics after historic meltdown vs. Clippers

The "Beat L.A." came to a screeching halt Saturday night at TD Garden.

The Boston Celtics led a ragtag Los Angeles Clippers team by as many as 28 points before completely falling apart in a 123-112 loss.

As the final seconds ticked away, Celtics fans vocalized their displeasure with a chorus of boos.

Boston sports teams have enjoyed plenty of success over the last week -- thanks for the sixth Super Bowl title, New England Patriots -- but fans had every right to boo the C's.

The Clippers outscored the Celtics by a whopping 32 points in the second half, mounting the largest comeback by any road team since 2009.

The loss also marked Boston's biggest blown lead in 16 years.

The C's also let a 22-point lead slip away Thursday night in a loss to the Lakers, so they'll likely be glad to see the last L.A. team leave town.
