No, Brad Stevens isn't running for president in 2020.
We'd forgive you if you thought this, because there's a guy gearing up for a White House bid who also is a dead ringer for the Boston Celtics head coach.
That'd be the 37-year-old Pete Buttigieg, the current mayor of South Bend, Ind. (Stevens' home state) who is being touted as a dark horse Democratic candidate in the 2020 presidential election and bears a pretty strong resemblance to Stevens.
Has anyone addressed the fact that Pete Buttigieg and Brad Stevens are brothers? pic.twitter.com/Tcbaa3RJgB

In fact, Buttigieg has joked about his NBA coach doppelganger multiple times on Twitter over the years.
I get this a lot, but if you ever saw me attempt to play basketball, the comparisons would end.... https://t.co/GPuuJlSAyV

Thanks! The commute can be rough but it's all worth it when you get results like a revived urban core or seeing Irving reach his potential. https://t.co/Bz70oqIN2B

On Wednesday, it was Stevens' turn to weigh in on Buttigieg. And it turns out he really likes the South Bend native.

"I had a friend a few years ago who said, 'I just met the mayor of South Bend, Indiana, and he is incredibly impressive -- and he looks exactly like you,' " Stevens joked during an interview on 98.5 The Sports Hub's "Zolak & Bertrand."
"I've actually followed him pretty close. And I'll be real candid: I love a lot of his platforms. I'm a big fan of his.
"I haven't endorsed anyone yet because I don't really get into the political stuff too much, but he's a hard one for me to root against. He's also rising pretty quickly."
Stevens has an extra motive to root for Buttigieg, who launched a presidential exploratory committee back in January, in the 2020 election: If Buttigieg lands in the White House, Stevens could pretend he's the president and sneak into the Oval Office.
"Maybe I could get the Saturday Night Live gig," Stevens quipped.
