Brad Stevens shares optimistic update on Jaylen Brown's ankle injury

Breathe, Boston Celtics fans. Jaylen Brown should be just fine.

The Celtics forward suffered an ankle injury in Monday night's win over the Los Angeles Lakers and will miss Wednesday's game vs. the Memphis Grizzlies. Fortunately, though, it doesn't sound like Brown will miss much time.

C's coach Brad Stevens addressed Brown's injury prior to Wednesday night's contest.

“Twisted his ankle, kind of in a fluke way,” Stevens said. “Not around anybody as he was kind of stunting at the ball. I don’t know what part of the game -- saw the video today though, didn’t look too bad. I think he’ll be back hopefully sooner rather than later, but obviously not ready yet.”

The Celtics haven't had much luck on the injury front this season. Including Wednesday, they've only had their "Big Four" of Brown, Kemba Walker, Jayson Tatum and Gordon Hayward for 16 of 43 games thus far.

Following Wednesday night's big win over the Grizzlies, Stevens said Brown would make the trip to Orlando and has not been ruled out.
