Bucks guard Malcolm Brogdon ruled out for Game 4 vs Celtics

As the Celtics prepare for the biggest game of their season in Game 4 of an Eastern Conference semifinal against the Bucks, it appears Malcolm Brogdon will remain out with a plantar fascia injury.

Brogdon has been out since mid-March, and was set for reevaluation after the first two games before being ruled out of Game 3

Brogdon was a key player in the Bucks' league-best 60-22 record, averaging 15.6 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.2 assists to go along with 50.5/42.6/92.8 shooting splits. Only eight players in NBA history have accomplished such a shooting feat, including Celtics legend Larry Bird.

The Bucks were holding out hope that Brogdon could return for Game 4, but the Celtics catch a break with the third-year guard sidelined again.

Marcus Smart could potentially return before Brogdon does, which should give the Celtics an advantage as they fight their way out of a 2-1 series hole.
