It's one of the occupational hazards of being 7-foot-6.

Low ceilings.

And it's why Celtics center Tacko Fall wound up in the NBA's concussion protocol.

At practice Saturday, Brad Stevens told reporters that Fall, the C's rookie center who has become a cult hero in his brief time in Boston, had hit his head the previous day and the team was being cautious with him.

Who hit Fall in the head? Turns out it was the ceiling.

Fall told MassLive.com's John Karalis that he was trying to wash his hands after a workout last Friday at the Auerbach Center, the C's practice facility, but didn’t notice the low ceiling and hit his head.

He initially didn't think he had hurt himself too badly and even participated in the team's swim lesson event at the Charlestown Boys and Girls Club, then returned to the Auerbach Center later in the day to get more work in.

Fall traveled with the team to Philadelphia for the season opener and was on the bench in a very large suit. He's been ruled out of the home opener Friday night against the Raptors, but he's expected to be out of the concussion protocol and cleared to play soon.

Just watch those ceilings.
