Enes Kanter off-the-court community service will continue in one of his former NBA stops.

The Celtics center plans to file an application next week to open a charter school in Oklahoma City, according to The Frontier, an Oklahoma non-profit publication.

The proposed "Enes Kanter School for Exceptional Learning"  has not yet identified a location, but “our goal is to situate EKSEL Charter School where the need is high,” Kanter wrote in a letter submitted to Oklahoma City Public Schools and obtained by The Frontier.

He and a group of “civic-minded individuals” from Oklahoma City will submit a charter school application to the school district on Tuesday, The Oklahoman reported. The Oklahoma City School Board will then consider the application in a vote.

Kanter tweeted about the school on Friday.

The plan calls for a school for under-served minority and immigrant students from fourth through 12th grade.

Oklahoma City was the second stop (2014-17) in a nine-year NBA career that began in Utah and also included stints with the New York Knicks and Portland Trail Blazers for the 6-foot-10 center from Turkey. Kanter signed as a free agent with the Celtics in July.

“Despite playing for other teams, I continue to return to Oklahoma City to host my annual basketball summer camps and to support programs that serve the OKC children,” Kanter wrote in his letter to the school board. “Through my foundation, my philanthropic activities extend to all of the cities where I have played for: Utah, Portland, New York, and Boston.”
