Enes Kanter and the president-elect of the United States have a history.

Joe Biden is one of the many politicians the Boston Celtics big man has met while lobbying for human rights in his native Turkey and criticizing President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's regime.

In fact, Kanter actually gifted Biden his No. 11 Celtics jersey last December while thanking the politician for "supporting innocent people" in Turkey.

After multiple projections declared Biden the winner of the 2020 presidential race Saturday over incumbent Donald Trump, Kanter took to Twitter to congratulate the president-elect and resurface a video of Biden receiving his jersey.

Kanter's tweet came after he hit the streets of New York on Saturday afternoon to join crowds of people reacting to the news of Biden's victory.

The 28-year-old veteran is very open about his political views, and he added a dig at Erdogan Saturday to suggest the Turkish president will lose his office next.

Kanter has a player option on his 2020-21 contract, so if he leaves the Celtics this offseason, he may need to send Biden some new threads.
