The Boston Celtics have failed to cover the spread in each of their last three outings as they prepare to hit the hardwood in Oklahoma City on Thursday night to face the Thunder in a pick 'em matchup on the NBA odds at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.

Boston heads into Thursday at 2-2 straight up but 1-3 against the spread on the season, and 1-2 SU and 0-3 ATS in their last three games after opening the campaign on October 16 with a convincing 105-87 home win over the Philadelphia 76ers as 5-point betting favorites.

The Celtics then fell 113-101 to the Raptors in Toronto as 3-point underdogs, and knocked off the Knicks 103-101 in New York while failing to cover a 9.5-point betting line. Boston most recently played host to the Orlando Magic on Monday night, getting upset 93-90 as large 11-point betting favorites at home.

Kyrie Irving led the way for the Celtics on Monday night with a team-high 22 points, with Al Horford adding 15 points, and Gordon Hayward held to just 11 points in the loss. Jayson Tatum had just seven points to go along with 10 rebounds against the Magic, but leads the Celtics on the season at 17.5 points per game. Irving is second at 16.5 points per game.

And those two will be looking to kick it up a notch and drag along Hayward as they try to add to the Thunder's early-season misery on Thursday night. Oklahoma City is 0-3 SU to start the season, dropping games to the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Clippers on the road, and to the Sacramento Kings at home in their most recent outing on Sunday.

The Thunder were set as 11-point favorites against the Kings on Sunday but fell 131-120 on the day. Russell Westbrook scored 32 points in the loss; Paul George scored 29 points.

Oklahoma City is 1-2 ATS on the season, having covered a 13-point spread in their 108-100 loss in Golden State in their opener. The Thunder have also had a hard time paying out for bettors in games against the Celtics, going 2-5 ATS in their last seven meetings dating back to 2015 according to the OddsShark NBA Database.

The Thunder were 0-2 both SU and ATS against the Celtics last season, falling 101-94 as a 6.5-point betting favorite at home on November 3, and 100-99 as a 5-point betting favorite on the road on March 20. Both of those games turned into UNDER results for totals bettors.

Oklahoma City sits at +3000 (wager $100 to win $3000) on the updated NBA championshp odds this week. The Celtics are second on those futures at +550, behind the Warriors.
