Celtics' Grant Williams, Tacko Fall steal show at Liverpool at Fenway

It's unclear if Tacko Fall will be on the Celtics' roster this fall. What's very clear is that he's making some fast friends in Boston.

The 7-foot-7 rookie, who's already joined Enes Kanter for the Turkish big man's "cheat day" and taken amusement park rides with fellow Celtics first-years, embarked on his latest adventure Sunday after a Twitter invite from Grant Williams.

We'll call this one "Tacko and Grant take Fenway Park," as the C's rookies hit up the home of the Boston Red Sox to watch Liverpool FC take on Sevilla FC in an international friendly.

Here's Tacko and Grant hamming it up on Williams' Instagram story:

Both players got to meet Liverpool star Virgil van Dijk as well as head coach Jurgen Klopp, who like everyone else was in awe of Fall's height.

Fall also drew a sizable crowd of fans outside Fenway after the game (a 2-1 Liverpool loss) and stopped to shake a few hands.

In all, it was a successful outing for Fall and Williams, who apparently had new Celtics assistant coach Kara Lawson green with envy.

Fall is signed to an Exhibit 10 contract that guarantees him an invite to Celtics training camp in the fall. He may not be a lock for Boston's 15-man roster, but the NBA Summer League sensation has secured a place in the hearts of his teammates and fans.

UPDATE (12:15 p.m. ET): Williams is no slouch at 6-foot-7, but he joked Monday on Twitter that he and Virgil felt a little vertically challenged standing next to Fall.
