There will be a bittersweet feeling at TD Garden on Wednesday night when the Boston Celtics begin their 2020-21 season.
It simply won't feel the same without the legendary Tommy Heinsohn here to watch the matchup with us. The Hall of Fame Celtics player, coach, and broadcaster passed away in November at the age of 86.
Prior to the season opener, the Celtics honored "Mr. Celtics" with a heartfelt tribute video that perfectly captured his 64 years with the organization.
The Celtics also paid tribute by lowering eight banners, each representing a special part of Heinsohn's legacy:
Heinsohn will be with Celtics Nation in spirit -- and cursing the refs, of course -- when Wednesday's game vs. the Milwaukee Bucks tips off at 7:30 p.m.
