The Boston Celtics frontcourt will be shorthanded when they host the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday night.

Big men Robert Williams (left ankle sprain) and Al Horford (right knee swelling) both were ruled out for the matchup. In addition, veteran guard Marcus Smart will miss his eighth consecutive game with a right ankle sprain.

With Williams and Horford out, Luke Kornet is the next man up for Boston at the center position. He faces the tough task of going up against Sixers star Joel Embiid, who has scored 30 or more points in all but two games he has played in 2023.

The Celtics are coming off a bounce-back victory over the Detroit Pistons on Monday night. Philadelphia hopes to get back on track after dropping Sunday's game vs. the New York Knicks.

Tip-off for C's-Sixers is set for 7:30 p.m. ET right here on NBC Sports Boston.
