The Boston Celtics announced Wednesday that center Daniel Theis underwent a successful arthroscopic procedure on his left knee Tuesday.

Theis is expected to be ready for Celtics training camp, whenever that begins.

This is the same knee Theis had surgery on in March of 2018.

The 28-year-old center was a key part of Boston's rotation last season. Theis averaged 9.2 points and 6.6 rebounds in 65 games played during the 2019-20 campaign. He started 64 of those games.

He averaged 8.9 points and 7.1 rebounds per game during the Celtics' 2020 playoff run, which ended with a Game 6 loss to the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals.
