Robert Williams exits game vs. Cavs with knee soreness

Robert Williams' health will be worth monitoring heading into Wednesday night's game vs. the Atlanta Hawks.

The Boston Celtics big man exited Monday's win over the Cleveland Cavaliers with left knee soreness and didn't return. C's head coach Ime Udoka said after the game that Williams felt a sharp pain and tightness in the knee.

"Just some knee soreness. He felt something during the game," Udoka said. "Not sure if he bumped it or anything like that, but just had some soreness and couldn't go after halftime."

Williams had six rebounds in 13 minutes prior to his exit. While his removal from the game seems more precautionary than worrisome, it's certainly a situation to keep tabs on given his injury history.

Entering Monday, Williams has averaged 10.8 points, 9.5 rebounds and two blocks through 12 games.
