ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports Williams has agreed to a four-year, $54 million contract extension with Boston, making him among the highest-paid centers in the NBA.

What is the Celtics' new identity? Stevens has a clear vision

Williams averaged 8.0 points, 6.9 rebounds and 1.8 blocks through 52 games (13 starts) last season for the C's. While injuries have been a concern early in the 23-year-old's career, the deal could prove to be great value for Boston if he can stay healthy.

Time Lord's new contract is the second extension the Celtics have handed out this week. On Monday, they signed veteran guard Marcus Smart to a four-year deal worth $77 million.

Williams is entering his fourth NBA season.
