Celtics Talk Podcast: Best ways to keep C's fans entertained during NBA suspension

Share

It now has been two weeks since Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert became the first NBA player to test positive for the coronavirus, and the league suspended its season indefinitely.

Those two weeks have felt like months, and there's no doubt the absence of the NBA -- and sports as a whole -- has been rough. So in the latest episode of the Celtics Talk Podcast, Chris Forsberg, Abby Chin, and A. Sherrod Blakely look at the bright side.

The crew discussed their favorite moments from C's players in quarantine, and as well as which Celtics Classic games they are looking forward to watching the most on NBC Sports Boston.

Blakely didn't hesitate when asked about his favorite Celtics-related moment of quarantine, Grant Williams casting his teammates as Space Jam characters.

Grant Williams. I loved that because it came early on in this process when we're still kind of adjusting to being in this whole self-quarantine mode. And the fact that he was so spot-on. I mean, Gordon Hayward as grandma? Yeah, I can see that. Jayson Tatum as Lola Bunny? Absolutely. And Marcus Smart as Tazmanian Devil is spot-on.

Chin is going with none other than the fan-favorite, Tacko Fall.

I do think that we should give Tacko MVP because he and Tremont Waters have been making these videos all season long. I mean, shoutout to Maine. They have been the one saving grace for me.

As for the Celtics Classics, NBC Sports Boston has been airing and will continue to air some of the most memorable games in C's history. One of those games will be Terry Rozier's epic showdown with Eric Bledsoe and the Milwaukee Bucks in the Eastern Conference playoffs, which is set to air Wednesday night at 7 p.m. ET.
