The Boston Celtics had a three-point lead heading into the fourth quarter vs. the Western Conference-leading Utah Jazz, but they were unable to finish the job.
Utah outscored Boston 40-30 in the fourth quarter to earn the victory. Big man Rudy Gobert was a problem for the C's in the second half and finished with 16 points to go with 12 rebounds and four blocks. Donovan Mitchell notched a team-high 21 points, and Jordan Clarkson produced 20 points off the bench for the Jazz.
As for the Celtics, an inability to get to the free-throw line proved costly as they attempted only four free throws the entire game. Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown notched 29 and 28 points, respectively, but it just wasn't enough to propel Boston to victory.
