The Boston Celtics failed to avenge Sunday's brutal loss as they came up just short vs. the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday night. They can blame Mavs star Luka Doncic for that.
After struggling mightily through the third and most of the fourth quarter, the C's went on a 16-3 run to briefly steal the lead back from Dallas. That's when Doncic came through with two clutch 3-pointers in the final moments, including the game-winner. The 21-year-old finished with 31 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists.
The Celtics were led by All-Stars Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum, who contributed 29 and 28 points apiece. Kemba Walker struggled for most of the game but came up clutch down the stretch. He ended with 21 points.
Here are the highlights from Boston's loss, which brings its record under .500:
FINAL SCORE: Mavericks 110, Celtics 107
