Celtics vs. Warriors isn't favorite for 2019 NBA Finals, per oddsmaker

The consensus favorite for the 2019 NBA Finals matchup was the Golden State Warriors versus the Boston Celtics, but the first month of the 2018-19 NBA season has caused a shift in the odds.

Here are the new betting lines for the most likely 2019 NBA Finals matchups, via OddsShark:

The Toronto Raptors sit atop the Eastern Conference standings at 18-4. Kawhi Leonard has made a seamless transition into the Raptors lineup after Toronto acquired him via trade from the San Antonio Spurs in July.

The Raptors host the Warriors at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto on Thursday night. It's their first meeting of the regular season, and could provide a preview of what's to come in June. The Warriors are shorthanded, though, with Stephen Curry not yet ready to return to the court due to injury, but hursday's showdown should still provide plenty of entertainment.

The Boston Celtics are 11-10 at the quarter-mark of the season. They have quality wins over the Raptors, Philadelphia 76ers and Milwaukee Bucks, but the team has struggled mightily, particularly on offense, to this point. There's still plenty of time for the Celtics to turn things around, but it might be tough to supplant Warriors-Raptors as the most likely Finals matchup as long as Toronto is in position to have homecourt advantage throughout the Eastern Conference playoffs.
