The Boston Celtics are looking to extend their winning streak to four as they take on a familiar face on Monday night.
The Celtics are in D.C. to take on the Washington Wizards and former Celtics star and fan-favorite, Isaiah Thomas. The Wizards are enduring a tough, injury-plagued season and only sport an 11-24 record. That said, they are coming off a 14-point win over the Denver Nuggets, a game that saw Ish Smith go off for 32 points.
The Celtics will be playing their third consecutive game without Kemba Walker, who is out with an illness. The Celtics defeated the Atlanta Hawks and Chicago Bulls without Walker's services, and Enes Kanter has logged double-doubles in each of those contests as a key presence off the bench.
Walker's absence will afford Marcus Smart another opportunity to start for the team.
