Here are the Stars, Studs and Duds from Boston’s 120-107 win over the Los Angeles Lakers:

STARS

Kyrie Irving: Saturday night was one of Kyrie Irving’s more efficient games this season, leading the Celtics with 30 points on 12-for-18 shooting from the field to go with seven rebounds, five assists and two blocked shots.

LeBron James: After a sluggish first half, LeBron James came alive in the third quarter which is when he scored nine of his 30 points as part of a triple-double that included 10 rebounds and 12 assists.

STUDS

Gordon Hayward: This was one of those sneaky-good games for Gordon Hayward, who finished with 15 points on 6-for-8 shooting.

Al Horford: He didn’t take a ton of shots or dominate the glass, but there was no denying Al Horford’s presence. He would finish with 10 points on 4-for-6 shooting to go with eight rebounds and four assists.

Johnathan Williams: The rookie from Gonzaga played with great energy all game and finished with a career-high 18 points and nine rebounds.

Marcus Smart: The 3-ball was going down - a lot - for Marcus Smart against the Lakers. Smart would finish with 16 points which included 4-for-6 shooting from 3-point range.

Moritz Wagner: One of the Lakers reserves seeing more time due to injuries, Wagner tallied a career-high 19 points to go with five rebounds.

Marcus Morris: Boston did a nice job of probing for mismatches, and more often than not it was Marcus Morris with an advantage. And to his credit, he made the most of his opportunities and finished with 16 points, seven rebounds and four assists.

DUDS

First half energy: The Boston Celtics have a knack for playing up or down to the level of their opponent, and that was indeed evident in the first half on Saturday. Boston played with a little more pep in their step in the second half, one of the keys to the Celtics’ improved play after halftime.
